The 2017 AcuraWatch Overview – A Standard Above the Rest

March 29th, 2017 by

One of Acura’s missions is to ensure the comfort and safety to each of our customers, drivers, and their passengers. To make this simple, they offer a suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies they call The AcuraWatch, and the benefits are out of this world.

Features & Overview

  • Road Departure Mitigation Helps you avoid objects on the side of the road. So whether you see something or not, this feature will help you stay clear of anything on the shoulder.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control Can be used at any speed, but reduces the amount of fiddling you do with your cruise control. It keeps a set interval between you and the vehicle in front of you!
  • Lane Keeping Assist Makes minor corrections to keep you in the center of your lane. While other similar systems simply bounce you in between your lane lines, Lane Keeping Assist is designed to keep you in a straight, natural, and effortless line.
  • Collision Mitigation Breaking This system works to alert the driver. It’ll do the braking for you to prevent or reduce the severity of an accident. Consider this feature almost like a co-pilot on the road.

The AcuraWatch suite was first introduced in 2015 on the 2015 TLX. Today, the technology suite is offered on all of Acura’s core sedans and SUVs, and comes standard with 2017 MDX and 2017 RLX models. And as of March 2017, Acura has sold over 100,000 vehicles that are equipped with AcuraWatch.

So, while the current features are already ahead of the game, you can expect superior updates in the next line up of models. Give us a call today to learn more about this and many other packages offered by Acura and schedule your test drive today!
